This Week's Question:
What books are you looking forward to reading in 2014?
I made a recent post about this, but I am looking forward to reading (and finishing):
- A Feast for Crows (A Song of Fire and Ice #4) by George R. R. Martin
- A Dance with Dragons (A Song of Fire and Ice #5) by George R. R. Martin
- The Silmarillion by J. R. R. Tolkien
- The Sable Quean by Brian Jacques
- Soulless by Gale Carrigen
I need to read A Dance with Dragons but I find with his books I need a long break in between them. Have a great weekend! :)

I've discovered that as well. As much as I love Martin's works, I sometimes get hung on particular chapters or view points. I had to pause in reading A Feast for Crows because I couldn't get past Cersei's point of view.
DeleteI need to start reading the game of thrones books, i couldn't get into the tv series as much as everyone seemed to but i'm pretty sure i would adore the books! The Silmarillion also looks interesting, one of my housemates is reading it at the moment and i definitely might steal it off of him when he's done :) Great choices!

The HBO television show is definitely not for everyone but I definitely recommend reading the books. While the show is accurate in some ways, there's definitely a lot more to be found within the books themselves!
DeleteI haven't read the Game of Thrones yet but a lot of my friends recommend it. I feel left out when they talked about it because I have no clue to what is going on.

I'd highly recommend it if you enjoy fantasy. As one of the people who introduced me put it, it's one of the most realistic fantasy stories you'll ever read.
DeleteI'm a fellow Tolkien fan! I really enjoyed The Simarillion and I hope you do too!

I actually started reading it while I was in High School, but as with many other books, I got distracted. I need to hunt down my copy of it to read now.
DeleteI havent read any of these books, but I'll definitely be checking them out on goodreads! Cute blog! I'm a new follower via gfc :)

I loved the entire Parasol Protectorate series! So much fun. I'm always on the lookout for books that have that same British humor along with the paranormal mystery element. Following via Twitter and G+.

I liked what I had read so far, but I got distracted by other things and then the book was overdue.
DeleteFantastic book choices..... love, love, love George RR Martin but I wish he would get a budge on and finish the next book already!
