Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The point of the meme is to give blogs more exposure and followers, while helping us get to know each other!
This week's question:
Back to School time! Create a reading list for the imaginary English Lit class you'll be teaching this semester.
English Lit 101 War & Dystopian Novels
Reading List:
The Things They Carried
Warhorse
The Book Thief
Divergent
Matched
The Hunger Games
I think a lit class that is all dystopian lit would be amazing! :D I'd totally come!
ReplyDeleteMy FFs are at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday!
Ahhhh, the Book Thief! That should have been on my list. *smacks self*
ReplyDeleteI would totally take this class, by the way.
My F&F is here.
That's a cool idea. I haven't read Warhorse or seen it. I'd like to.

It's definitely an interesting book. I read it in grad school during my Young Adult references and resources class, and it was one of my favorites. The movie is also fantastic, following the storyline fairly closely.
DeleteLove your list. I had no idea Warhorse was a book too, I will have to look it up.

Being taught dystopians in school...ironic, but definitely needed. The people need to recognize when the government oversteps its boundaries. And it does even outside of fiction.

Matched is definitely one that I haven't seen in the lists this week, great choice! I also chose The Book Thief.
