An informative and interesting read, A Little Wicked follows the story of Dory, a preteen in 1692 Scotland who must flee her homeland and try to survive without her family. But fate is not kind and arriving in the Massachusetts Bay Colony she's thrown into a completely different crisis. The witch trials are in full swing, and everywhere is dangerous to be.

The story of Dory was an intriguing one, full of heartache and learning to grow, children in the age range intended will definitely be able to relate to Dory and her plight. Definitely a good read to also foster excitement in learning about the time period and the hardships of being a girl in colonial America.

I recommend this book if you want a good, informative read.
